Ron McKenna at the Pines Party 2005

Fire Island Pines Pioneer Ron McKenna Dies at 69

Jeanne Lieberman, publisher

Though I only met Ron McKenna a few times I was instantly impressed by his generosity of spirit as well as deed, his geniality and his good looks.  I am shocked and saddened by his untimely death as are his many friends

Fire Island Pines lost one of its most tireless workers when Ron McKenna unexpectedly died late in the evening of July 14. McKenna had served as the president of the Fire Island Pines' Property Owner's Association (FIPPOA) and more recently had worked as community manager
