ROSIE LIOTTA'S SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY

On a beautiful Saturday early evening, August 18th, Rose Liotta and her husband Victor and visiting family were biking to a neighbor to join them for dinner at Fair Harbor. When they got to the corner of Seabay there was a crowd of about 60 friends in Kismet shouting "surprise" as they were ushered to the Tahitian transformed home of Skee & Barbara Leeds for a bonanza of a luau catered by our own Lynn Clemens.

Rosies 70th birthday party was in the planning stages for about a month.  Rose's daughters in law, Chris Liotta and Lianne Liotta did a great job at planning, shopping, arranging, and shipping all behind the watchful eyes of Rose.  Friends Barbara Leeds and Karen Smollen were co-conspirators in the event.  All were on high alert when Barbara decided to invite Rose over for a cocktail at 2:00 (party location at Barbara and Skee's at 5:00).  Karen had to call Chris and tell her to get Rose the hell out of there so that they could set up.

Entertainment was festive with the sounds of Don (of Don and Willy) playing guitar.  Everyone looked great dressed in Hawaii attire.  Guests consist of Hosts..Barbara and Skee Leeds, Karen and Joe, all the Liotta children and grandkids, the Damato's, Manzo's, Bob and Marie, Joel and Miggie, d and d, the 4 J's..Joe and Joanie, Jimmy and Joanie, Larry and Joyce, Peggy and Walter, "boat folk" Mike and Dusty, Patti and Lou, Rudy, Phil and Sue, Paul and Anthony, Mat and Helen...and many more

All this for me???

(Rosie looks so great 70 must be the new 50)

Midnight found Vic asleep on the couch, Rosie still bubbling over schmoozing with Barbara and her house guests. Bikes piled high with gifts and food the celebrating couple wended their way happily towards home.
